I've upgraded linux-headers-generic, linux-source and build-essential, to no avail.Īfter downloading the driver, one must run the install.sh script to install it.

I think it worked after some upgrades, but right now I can't find a fix. I've done it successfully in the past, but I've also encountered the same problem as what follows. To get it working, one needs to download and install the Realtek driver 8192cu from here (and load the 8192cu module).

It's a D-Link Wireless N 150 Micro USB Adapter DWA-121. So I decided to buy a wireless USB adapter (USB stick). After "fighting" for some time, I gave up trying to have my Realtek 8188ce wireless card work properly (the wifi connection is annoyingly unstable). I am not too sure what to do and have been researching this for hours on end trying different methods.I'm using a laptop with Ubuntu 13.04 64 bits. Make: *** /lib/modules/3.14-kali1-amd64/build: No such file or directory. *.cmd *.koĪuthentication requested for make driver: *.cmd *.koĬd os_dep/linux rm -fr *.mod.c *.mod *.o. Rm -fr Module.markers rm -fr modules.orderĬd core/efuse rm -fr *.mod.c *.mod *.o. I have downloaded and tried to install the driver from the realtek website but receive this error every time i follow the instructions:Īuthentication requested for make clean: Kali does not display the chipset and I think it is due to the driver not being installed properly/at all?

Hi, I am using a TP LINK TW822N wireless network adapter in Kali Linux run though a VMWARE on Mac OSX Yosemite.
